CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Philip Ricci scored 14 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as Oregon State easily defeated Seattle 81-38 Tuesday at Gill Coliseum.
Brian Jackson led the Beavers (1-1) with 16 points and Floyd North added a career-high 15 for the Beavers.
Nic Lano had eight points to lead Seattle (2-1).
The Division II Redhawks struggled to get the ball down past the Oregon State zone, and shot just 21 percent in the first half, including 1-of-11 on 3-pointers.
The much bigger Beavers also dominated the boards, out-rebounding Seattle 51-23.
Coming off a dismal shooting performance in a loss to Idaho in its season opener last Saturday, OSU shot 55 percent in the first half and took a comfortable 46-17 advantage into halftime.
Seattle hit two quick baskets to start the second half to get within 25, but would get no closer. A Floyd North 3-pointer at the 10:46 mark gave the Beavers a 34 point lead at 64-30.
Seattle shot just 25 percent for the game and only two players scored more than four points for the Redhawks.
