PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Framecio Little scored 16 points, including three free throws in the final 30 seconds, to lead Washington State to a 57-53 win over Oregon State on Saturday night.
The Cougars (11-12, 4-9 Pac-10) jumped to an early 20-8 lead. But the Beavers (9-16, 3-10 Pac-10) chipped away from the free throw line, connecting on 13 of 18 attempts and cutting the Cougar lead to only seven points at halftime.
Oregon State continued its surge in the second half. The Beavers put together a 17-8 run late in the game. They grabbed their first lead when Jason Heide made two free throws with 3:47 remaining in the game.
But Washington State freshman Marcus Moore provided the game-winning points on a dribble-drive with 1:03 to play. Little and junior center J. Locklier sealed the win for Washington State by converting on four free throw attempts.
Locklier scored 13 points and Mike Bush added 11 to join Little in double figures for the Cougars.
Heide led the way for Oregon State, scoring 18 points and collecting 10 rebounds.
The win gave Washington State its first back-to-back conference wins since the Cougars beat Oregon and Oregon State in January 1997.
