“Dan is one of the rising stars in all of intercollegiate athletics administration and we are extremely excited to have him as a member of Beaver Nation,” Barnes said at the time of his hiring. “His impressive track record of success and his collaborative leadership style will be a great fit for us. His breadth of experience in strategic and facilities planning, and as a sports administrator for football and other programs will serve Oregon State well.”

This includes leading OSU's sports supervisory team, where he also serves as sport supervisor for the football and wrestling programs. He also participates as part of the executive staff and provides leadership in the development and execution of the OSU athletic department’s strategic plan – Build The Dam.
While at Pitt, Bartholomae most recently had oversight of the NCAA compliance office, sport administration team, facilities planning and event operations, and student-athlete development. He also was the sports supervisor for the Panthers’ football and men’s basketball teams. In addition, he managed and directed the athletic department’s strategic planning process that led to a redesigned departmental mission and vision, as well as a detailed five-year plan for success.
Bartholomae, who served as the president of the National Association for Athletics Compliance in 2015-16, is highly active in other NCAA and industry committees. He possesses a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in policy analysis and public affairs. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Pittsburgh.
