Former Oregon State utility player Dylan Jones is in his second season with the Beavers after returnining in 2013.
Jones spent the 2010 and 2011 seasons with the Beavers, appearing in the postseason both years.
During his tenure with the Beavers, Jones played primarily at first base and as a pitcher. He went 1-0 as a pitcher in 19 appearances - all in relief - and had a 2.01 earned run average in 22 1/3 innings of work. He struck out 13 and limited opponents to a .169 batting average.
He played in 41 games in the field, making 27 starts, and batted .284 with seven doubles and 12 runs batted in. His first season with the Beavers, in 2010 as a junior, he batted .329 with seven RBI.
Jones came to Oregon State from Mount Hood Community College in the Portland area. Played two seasons for Mount Hood and served as the team captain his sophomore year.
He earned first-team honors both his freshman and sophomore seasons, batting .333 as a sophomore and .320 as a freshman.
As a pitcher, Jones combined to 11-4 in his two seasons.
