Former Oregon State outfielder Daniel Robertson is in his first season as an undergraduate assistant coach with the Beavers.
A Fontana, Calif. native, he played for Oregon State in 2008, batting .327 with 12 doubles, a triple, two home runs and 27 RBI. He also swiped eight stolen bases in 52 games.
Robertson came to Oregon State from Concordia in Southern California.
Robertson was selected in the 33rd round of the MLB Draft by San Diego and spent 11 seasons in professional baseball. He made his Major League Baseball debut in 2014 with the Texas Rangers. He played four seasons, 148 games, at the MLB level, also seeing action with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Seattle Mariners and Cleveland Indians.
He tallied 16 doubles, two triples, a home run and 36 RBI with six stolen bases in his Major League career.
Professionally, he played in nearly 1,200 games, totaling 230 doubles, 44 triples, 44 home runs and 479 RBI.
He is married to Simone Del Rosario.
