Adam DeRusha joined the Oregon State softball staff as assistant coach in the fall of 2017 and is responsible for the infielders.
Prior to OSU, DeRusha spent two years as a graduate assistant at Louisiana State University, making the Women’s College World Series in both years. He was responsible for setting up and leading practice drills, tracking player and team development, scout and distributing play call cards.
Before heading to LSU, DeRusha spend two seasons with the University of Florida softball team when the Gators were crowned the Division I Softball National Champions in 2014 and 2015. He was responsible for ensuring operations efficiency and organizing team equipment.
DeRusha has helped out with a multitude of camps, both at Florida and LSU, and was the head coach of the 18U Wichita Mustangs Softball team in Wichita, Kansas in June 2017.
DeRusha graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Florida in 2015 and completed his master’s degree at LSU in the spring of 2017.
A native of Orlando, Fla., DeRusha currently resides in Corvallis.
