Chris Anderson was named assistant sports performance coordinator at Oregon State University April 25, 2012.
Anderson arrived at Oregon State after serving as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Colorado State University for one year. Previously he spent five years as the head strength and conditioning coach at Western Illinois University, three as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Kansas State University, three years as the assistant and interim head strength and conditioning coach at the University of Maine, one year as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Idaho State University and one year as a strength and conditioning coach in the Cleveland Indians' organization.
He is a member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, International Sports Sciences Federation, National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA Track & Field and USA Weightlifting.
Anderson has a bachelor's degree in physical education from California State University-Stanislaus and a master's degree in physical education from Idaho State University. He and his wife Teri are the parents of three boys, Christopher, Joseph-Michael and Nathaniel.
