Arriving to Oregon State in August 2021 as Assistant Director of Compliance, Marlena was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director in June 2022. Marlena serves as lead compliance staffer for softball as well as overseeing athletics financial aid, continuing eligibility and recruiting interpretations for the department. Before arriving at Oregon State, Marlena served as Compliance Coordinator at Fresno State University where she held broad responsibility for monitoring, incoming and transfer eligibility as well as rules education. Marlena had her start in compliance as an intern at the University of Oregon and at Long Beach State.

Marlena earned her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University and her J.D from the University of Oregon School of Law.
