Kurt Komatsubara

Kurt Komatsubara was hired as an assistant sport performance coach at Oregon State University in 2013. Prior to OSU, Komatsubara taught at Pacific University (Forest Grove, OR) and was the strength and conditioning coach for the University’s baseball team. Komatsubara has also interned with the Denver Broncos, worked at George Fox University, and various high schools in Hawaii.
A former Pacific University baseball player, Komatsubara graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. Komatsubara also holds a master’s degree in performance enhancement and injury prevention.
Komatsubara is certified through USA Weightlifting, the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) where he is also on the advisory board for the state of Oregon.
