Josh Patterson is in his sixth season at Oregon State and second as Director of Scouting for the defense. He started back at Oregon State in the spring of 2021 as a Recruiting Assistant before being elevated to Assistant Director of Player Personnel in 2022.
Patterson came to Corvallis after spending five years at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore. He served, most recently, as the Defensive Backs Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Boxers. While there, Patterson coached an All-Conference Defensive Back in each season and was instrumental in bringing top talent to the program.
Patterson, a native of Sherwood and alum of Oregon State, started his coaching career as a volunteer assistant coach and recruiting intern for the Beavers in 2015. He spent his undergraduate years at OSU as an equipment manager working with the QB’s & WR’s.
