Connor Benjamin joined Oregon State as an assistant men's golf coach on September 2, 2026, appointed by head coach Brian Watts.
Benjamin came to Corvallis after one season as head coach at Missouri S&T, his alma mater, where the Miners won three regular-season tournaments and were the low finishing team during stroke play at the conference championship. He mentored the conference Player of the Year and the league's Freshman of the Year, and every member of his starting five earned all-conference honors.
Benjamin played collegiately at four schools — Cal Baptist, UT Permian Basin, Ranger College and Missouri S&T — competing at the junior college, Division I and Division II levels. He earned all-conference and all-region honors during his career and was named an Honorable Mention All-American in 2024-25. He was also a two-time Academic All-American, honored as both a junior and a senior.
As a senior, Benjamin averaged 71.2 strokes per round and set a program record with an 18-under 198 at the Findlay Spring Invite. He was ranked as high as No. 24 in the Division II individual rankings that season, helping lead Missouri S&T to a conference title and a quarterfinal finish at the D-II national championships.
A native of Kent, Wash., Benjamin has a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering and is pursuing a master's degree in explosives engineering.
