Christina Weston was appointed sports dietician for the Oregon State University Department of Athletics in March of 2017.

Weston is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, evaluation and management of nutrition services provided to the 500-plus Beaver student-athletes.

“Christina is well regarded in the industry and will build upon the existing foundation of our program,” OSU Senior Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine Dr. Doug Aukerman said at the time of her hiring. “Her experiences as a recent student-athlete provide her with an understanding of the nutritional demands the young men and women competing in intercollegiate athletics face.”

Weston, a native of Rockford, Mich., arrived at Oregon State after serving as the interim director of sports nutrition at the University of Illinois for nine months. She was responsible for 10 of the Fighting Illini’s programs, including for the football, gymnastics and volleyball teams.

Her professional experience also includes serving as a sports nutrition and strength and conditioning intern at the University of Tulsa, sports nutritionist at State University New York at Buffalo, and as a personal trainer.

Weston is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN), American Collegiate of Sports Medicine (ACSM), has her CCSD and is a part of the Collegiate Professional Sports Dietitians (CPSDA) and the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN).
