- Undergraduate Assistant Coach
Former Oregon State pitcher Brandon Jackson, a two-year letterwinner for the Beavers, is in his first season as an undergraduate assistant coach with the club.
He pitched in 35 games from 2013-14, all in relief, and accumulated a 4-2 record with a 2.90 earned run average. He threw a total of 40 1/3 innings with 28 strikeouts and one save while holding opponents to a .254 batting average against.
Jackson came to Oregon State from Western Nevada Junior College, where he also pitched for two seasons. He combined for a 13-5 record between 2011 and 2012. Jackson’s big season for Western Nevada came during the 2012 season when he went 10-1 with a 1.55 ERA. He was named first-team all-league his sophomore season.
A native of Roseburg, Ore., Jackson was a three-sport letterwinner at the high school level, playing one season apiece in basketball and football in addition to baseball. On the mound, he finished with a 26-3 record in three seasons, earning second and third-team all-state honors during his career.
