Former Oregon State All-American Taylor Meeks, a four-time NCAA participant, returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach on June 30, 2016.

A native of Orting, Wash., Meeks posted a 122-33 (.787) overall record from 2012-15 as a 184- and 197-pounder. He placed fourth at the NCAA Championships at 197 pounds in 2013 to earn his All-American citation.

Meeks was the 2013 Pacific-12 Conference champion at 197 pounds, and placed second at 184 pounds in 2015 and second at 197 pounds in 2012 and 2014. He won 37 matches in 2015 and 36 matches in 2013.

As a senior, he earned OSU’s Robin Reed Most Outstanding Wrestler and the Team Leadership awards. He was also the team’s Most Outstanding Wrestler in 2013.
Meeks was a three-time Washington state champion at Orting High School, earned all-league honors four times, and was the 2010 Pierce County Athlete of the Year. He also lettered two years in football as a defensive lineman.
He graduated from OSU in 2015 with a degree in sociology, and began his coaching career as an assistant at Boise State in 2015-16.
