A pair of freshman keepers also had outstanding performances during the season as Gage Rogers became the first Oregon State keeper since 2014 to post a clean sheet in his first career start after making a trio of saves en route to a 2-0 win over No. 17 Pacific on Sept. 22. Rogers added two more saves in a 2-1 overtime win over No. 17 Cal on Oct. 19.
Pablo Gatinois was the other true freshman in 2017 to record a clean sheet in his first career start after making four saves in a 2-0 win over San Diego State on Oct. 8.
Teepen joined the Beavers in the spring of 2017 after spending the 2016 season at Coastal Carolina, and will work primarily with the goalkeepers at Oregon State. The Cincinnati, Ohio native helped lead the Chanticleers to Sunbelt Conference regular season and tournament titles last season, as well as an appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Under Teepen’s tutelage, Coastal Carolina placed two players on the Sunbelt first team and four on the second team. Starting goalkeeper Braulio Linares-Ortiz led the conference in goals against average (0.74), save percentage (0.814) and shut outs (6), and earned three Defensive Player of the Week honors.
In addition to his duties with the team’s goalkeepers, Teepen produced all scouting video for the Chanticleers, and managed the player GPS and Heart Rate monitors.
Prior to his time with Coastal Carolina, Teepen served as an assistant coach and goalkeeper coach at the University of Charleston (W.Va.) between 2013 and 2015, where he helped the Golden Eagles men's soccer team win a combined five conference titles and earn the nation's No. 1 ranking by the NSCAA.

The 2014 squad went 22-1-1, was an NCAA Division II national runner-up, earned a NSCAA No. 1 national ranking and won the MEC tournament. In 2013, Teepen's first year with the Golden Eagles, they were the MEC tournament champion.
During his three-year tenure at Charleston, Teepen coached five All-Americans, 10 All-Region and 18 All-Mountain East Conference selections.
His coaching experience also includes stints with Myrtle Beach Mutiny (2016-2017), Coast FA (2016-2017), West Virginia Chaos (2014-15), University of Charleston women's team (2013-15), West Virginia ODP (2015), Charleston FC (2014-15) and Walnut Hills High School (2014).
Teepen entered the coaching ranks following an accomplished pro and college playing career. Between 2009 and 2012, he played at the University of Charleston, where he was a four-time NSCAA All-Regional and three-time WVIAC All-Conference selection.
Teepen was the starting goalkeeper all four years at Charleston, leading the Golden Eagles to three NCAA tournament appearances, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 2009 and Sweet 16 in 2010.
Following his graduation from Charleston in 2013, Teepen signed a professional contract with the Dayton Dutch Lions of the USL Pro Division. Teepen also played in the USL Premier Development League for the Michigan Bucks in 2012, as well as the West Virginia Chaos in 2014.
