Wegner also coached at West Valley College under Coach Yoshikawa during the 2025-26 season. During his season with the Vikings, Wegner helped guide the team to a 24-7 record and a Elite Eight appearance in the California Community College Athletic Association Tournament.

Wegner played at West Valley from 2020-22. After having his freshman season canceled due to Covid-19, the Vikings had an outstanding campaign during Wegner’s final season with the program. WVC went 28-4 in 2021-22, making the state championship game. The Vikings went undefeated in conference play, earning both conference and NorCal titles.

A native of Campbell, Calif., Wegner was a two-time All-League honoree at Westmont High School. He has also gained experience directing and coaching basketball camps, as well as coaching one year of AAU ball.

Wegner graduated from Oregon State University in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology.
