McCoy comes to Oregon State after concluding his playing career last season at Langston University in Oklahoma. He appeared in 21 games as a senior, shooting a blistering 59.4 percent from the floor. His season was highlighted by an 8-for-8 shooting performance against Easter Oregon, as he scored a career-high 18 points. McCoy shot 57.1 percent in 21 games as a junior.

A Los Angeles, Calif. native, McCoy played his first two seasons at Cerritos College. He averaged 10.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in his sophomore campaign, helping the team win a SCC South Division Championship with a record of 20-10. He set a career-high with 39 points on 14-for-20 shooting against cross-town rivals Long Beach City College in 2024.
