KAHUKU: Walker originally signed with OSU in February of 2004, but elected to go on an LDS Mission to Ecuador...2003 Honolulu Advertiser Defensive Player of the Year – Jeremy Perry was his teammate at Kahuku and was named the Offensive Player of the Year...Kahuku was 14-0 his senior year, winning the state title.

PERSONAL: Born in Kahuku, Hawai’i...son of Sitiveni and Mele Vave – both of whom are employed at BYU-Hawai’i...has four siblings...OSU players Jeremy Perry, Al Afalava and Suaesi Tuimaunei are former Kahuku teammates... Participated in the 2008 OSU Learning Through Excellence Spring Break program – studying Native American Issues in Rural Oregon Communities, interacting five days with the Confederated Tribes of the Grande Ronde...undecided major.
