Former Oregon State linebacker Keaton Kristick joined the program as a graduate assistant coach for linebackers and special teams in the winter of 2013. Kristick is one of the most accomplished linebackers in Beaver history, lettering four years from 2006-09. As a senior he earned Pac-12 First Team honors and second team as a junior. He started 27 consecutive games and as a senior was fifth in the conference for tackles with 95. He made a career-high 10 tackles in the 2008 upset victory over No. 1 USC. He also served as the co-team captain his final season. For his career he made 211 tackles, including 22.5 for loss. The Beavers played in four bowl games during his playing career, victorious in three. Following his OSU career he signed a free agent contract with the San Francisco 49ers. He was a member of the team’s practice squad before being promoted to the active roster until the start of the 2011 season. He attended St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix where earned three letters as a linebacker and running back, and was a first team all-state selection his senior year.
