Michalowski joined Oregon State from Colorado, where he served most recently as the program’s outside linebackers coach. While there, he mentioned Carson Wells, who earned second-team all-Pac-12 honors in 2020. He developed 2020 NFL Draft third-round selection Davion Taylor.
He headed to Boulder in 2019, first as a defensive analyst after spending the 2018 season at Georgia. While there, he served in defensive quality control as the Bulldogs played at the 2018 Sugar Bowl.
Michalowski was a defensive graduate assistant at Memphs from 2016-17, and the defensive coordinator at Garden City Community College in Kansas in 2015. The Morristown, N.J., native also spent one season as the defensive coordinator for the Cologne Falcons in the German Football League, one year after serving as a defensive graduate assistant at Wyoming in 2013.
