Ben McCarthy

Ben McCarthy was promoted to Assistant Football Strength and Conditioning Coach at Oregon State University in May 2022. He was previously a graduate assistant for the Beaver football program from January 2021 through April 2022 and an intern with the team in the summer of 2020.
While at Oregon State, he assists in the implementation and analysis of Catapult GPS data. He also assists in the return to play protocol.
Prior to OSU, McCarthy spent the 2019 season as a football strength and conditioning intern and more than two years as a performance nutrition student assistant at his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
In 2018, he worked at EXOS as a performance specialist intern. Working with a variety of teams such as sand volleyball, tennis, football, and basketball
McCarthy played football at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2016
The Milwaukee native received his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology: Exercise and Movement Science from the University of Wisconsin in 2020. He earned his Master of Science degree in Biophysical Kinesiology from Oregon State University in June 2022.
McCarthy is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA and USATF.
