CAREER: Masaniai (pronounced Muh-sahn-EE-eye) started all 12 games as a senior … started the first two games of his junior year and played in five total … recorded seven tackles before suffering a broken left fibula against BYU ending his season after six games … made four tackles for the 2010 season before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury against California … redshirted in 2008 … Castro was a first team all-league selection as a senior as an offensive lineman and second team as a defensive lineman at Waipahu HS … helped Waipahu win its first league title in 35 years and advance to the state semifinals for the first time … also a basketball and track standout.
