How to Contribute
All gifts to Oregon State Athletics, including Our Beaver Nation, are considered gifts to the OSU Foundation and will be credited as such. Dollars credited toward Our Beaver Nation are those contributed directly to support student-athlete scholarships for all 17 varsity sports. This includes gifts made for priority seating in football and men’s basketball. Gifts made to individual sports and projects will be credited toward the specific sport or project. These contributions do not count toward your annual giving requirements for seating or Our Beaver Nation Benefits.

Funding your gift
One-time cash gifts can be made through checks payable to Our Beaver Nation or the OSU Foundation. If your gift is for a capital project, endowment, or individual sports, please denote its purpose on the memo line. Gifts can also be made by using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Securities
Gifts of stocks, bonds, treasuries and mutual funds. Please contact Mark Siewell at mark.siewell@osufoundation.org with any further questions.
Planned Gifts
The office of Gift Planning in the OSU Foundation helps donors and their professional advisors design a giving plan. Thoughtful, informed planning can yield significant benefits – for the donor and Oregon State Athletics.
Here are a few examples of gift planning in action:
- After careful consideration, an alumnus gives a tax-burdened asset to Oregon State Athletics and a tax-advantaged asset to an heir.
- A donor creates a new scholarship and plans to endow it through a bequest.
- An alumna creates a charitable trust that provides her income for the rest of her life.
- A couple consults with OSU to clarify their intentions of a bequest.
Planned gifts include bequests, trusts, gift annuities, and other gift vehicles. Planned gifts can be funded with many different types of assets, including securities, real estate, CDs, and retirement assets.
Often, combining the right asset with the right gift vehicle is the key to meeting your financial and charitable goals. Contact Us to learn more.
Matching Gifts
Many employers match charitable contributions made by their employees. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer and send it in with your gift. The impact of your gift may be doubled! Matching gift contributions are eligible for Our Beaver Nation membership and benefit distribution. Any matching gift claim not matched will be added to your personal pledge. If you have questions regarding your matching gift contributions please contact the Our Beaver Nation office.
Annual fund donations will go to Our Beaver Nation’s general scholarship fund unless the donor wishes to designate annual gifts to a sport(s) of choice, capital project, or an endowment of their choice. Contributions to individual sports or projects do not count toward any required contribution for football seating, men’s basketball seating, or Our Beaver Nation benefits.
Donor Advised Funds
Contributions directed to Our Beaver Nation from IRA accounts, donor advised funds, or private foundations that require the gift be 100% tax deductible will not be accepted for the right to purchase a season ticket. Non-seat related contributions, including gifts to capital projects, endowments, and annual fund gifts that exceed your minimum requirement, are considered a charitable donation to a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. Consult a tax advisor on the deductibility of your gift(s).
