Sweepstakes Entities collectively means Sponsors and Sweepstakes Administrator

ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal U.S. residents of Oregon, and legal U.S. residents of Washington with a permanent address within 75 miles of the Oregon/Washington border. Must be 18 years of age or older as of date of entry. Employees of Safeway Inc./Albertson’s LLC and its parent, subsidiaries and affiliate companies as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents and legal guardians, children and legal wards, grandparents, and grandchildren, including “in-laws” (whether or not they live in the same household) as well as persons living in the same household.
HOW TO ENTER: The Sweepstakes runs from 12:00:01 am (Pacific Time) on August 31, 2016 through 11:59:59 pm (Pacific Time) on November 22, 2016 (“Sweepstakes Period”). There are two (2) ways to enter:

During the Sweepstakes Period, buy five (5) participating items (identified by tailgate tags on the store shelf) and the address of the Sweepstakes website along with an entry code will be printed on your Catalina receipt. Log on to Sweepstakes website and complete the online entry form in its entirety and follow online instructions to submit to be entered. All online entries must be received by 11:59:59 pm (Pacific Time) the day before the respective drawing date to be eligible for that week’s drawing, or
Mail by pre-paid postage a 3x5 index card in a hand-addressed envelope with your name, address, phone number and email address to:

All mail-in entries must be received by 11:59:59 pm (Pacific Time) the day before the respective drawing date to be eligible for that week’s drawing. You may not use more than one name or residential or email address. Only one (1) entry per envelope. You must complete your own entry. Mechanically reproduced entries and envelopes will be void.
Entrants can only enter one (1) time per day regardless of entry method, and can only win one (1) weekly drawing during the Sweepstakes Period. Use of any automated, form filling, programmed or similar service or system will be void. Limit one (1) weekly prize per family or household and per e-mail address (regardless of whether more than one person uses the same e-mail address) during the Sweepstakes Period. All entries become the property of the Sweepstakes Administrator and will not be acknowledged or returned. All personal information submitted as part of the Sweepstakes will be used solely for the purpose of prize claim fulfillment and will not be disseminated to any third parties.

DRAWINGS: Two (2) winners will be selected at random each week (starting the week of 9/7) at 9:00 am (Pacific Time) during the Sweepstakes Period on the weekly drawing dates listed below for a total of twenty-four (24) winners. To be eligible for the weekly drawing, entry must be received by 11:59:59 pm (Pacific Time) the day before the date of the applicable drawing. Any entry not received by the stated deadline will not be eligible for that week’s drawing and will not be rolled over to the next week’s drawing. The final weekly entries must be received by 11:59:59 pm on November 22, 2016, with the final weekly drawing to be held at 9:00 am on November 23, 2016.

PRIZES:

A total of four (24) winners (2 per week) will receive weekly prize(s) with an approximate retail value (“ARV”) between $100 and $1,300. Estimated total ARV for all prizes is $10,700. The weekly prize will vary each week and will be selected by the Sweepstakes Administrator from among merchandise such as, but not limited to, season tickets, a fly away trip to an away game, civil war tickets, and a shopping spree at the Beaver Store or Oregon Sports (each a “Weekly Prize”).
Odds of winning a Weekly Prize will depend on the number of eligible entries received up to the deadline for each respective weekly drawing.
Prizes cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or substituted by winner. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value if a prize described in these Official Rules is unavailable or cannot be awarded, in whole or in part, for any reason. If the actual value of the prize turns out to be less than the stated ARV, the difference will not be awarded in cash. Sponsor makes no representation or warranty concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize awarded. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. Sponsor is not responsible for lost or damaged items during delivery.
Each potential winner will be notified via phone and/or email as provided on their entry form. The potential winner has twenty four (24) hours to respond in order to receive the respective prize. Receiving a prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules. Failure to comply with the Official Rules will result in forfeiture of the prize. Each potential winner must complete and return a claim form within forty-eight (48) hours of notification. In the event that a potential giveaway prize winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries for the Sweepstakes Period. Only three (3) alternate drawings will be held, after which the prize will remain un-awarded. Prize will be fulfilled within approximately 6 weeks (or sooner) after the conclusion of the Sweepstakes.

RELEASE: By entering, all participants agree to release and hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all claims, actions, damages, losses, costs, expenses, and liability of any kind (including, without limitation, property damage, personal injuries and/or death, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, counsel fees, and court costs) arising from anything relating to (a) promotion, execution or administration of, or participation in, the Sweepstakes; (b) cancellation or modification of any aspect of the Sweepstakes; (c) use of any website or other materials related to the Sweepstakes; (d) acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or nonuse of any prize; or (e) participating in or traveling to any Sweepstakes-related activity. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for damage to a prize or loss of a prize after the prize has been claimed. Winners will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release as a condition to claiming the prize. Winners are responsible for all costs and expenses which may be associated with participation in the Sweepstakes and/or winning any prize, including without limitation parking, transportation, and/or meals, unless specifically provided for in these Official Rules.
DISPUTES: As a condition to participating in this Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and all causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Sweepstakes shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Ada County, Idaho, having competent jurisdiction, which court shall apply the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to the conflicts of law principles thereof. The entrant and Sweepstakes Administrator hereby waive any and all right to trial by jury.
DISCLAIMER: Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for technical, hardware or software failure or malfunctions, lost or unavailable network or other telecommunications connections, or lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, disconnected, or delayed entries or communications, whether caused by the sender or by any of the services, equipment or programming associated with or used in this Sweepstakes, or by any human error which may occur in the execution of this Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of being conducted as planned, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond the control of any of the Sweepstakes Entities, such parties reserve the right at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and/or determine an alternate method of awarding the prize(s).
LICENSE: Acceptance of a prize constitutes full permission for Sweepstakes Entities and their respective affiliates to broadcast and/or to photograph or publish the winner’s name, voice, recorded comments, and likeness without compensation, in any medium, except as prohibited by law.
TAXES: All federal, state and/or local taxes, fees, and surcharges are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. If required by law, Sweepstakes Administrator will report the total value of the prize to the IRS and furnish winner with a federal Form 1099-MISC. Winners must provide their social security number and, if requested, a completed Form W-9 to Sweepstakes Administrator for tax reporting purposes.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final on all matters. Failure to conform to all Sweepstakes rules, or any fraud or other illegal or inappropriate conduct on the part of an entrant or on an entrant’s behalf, will result in the entrant's disqualification and forfeiture of any prize won. Sweepstakes Administrator and Sponsor reserve the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify this Sweepstakes and these Official Rules at any time, which changes will become effective upon announcement. If any provision of these Official Rules is declared or found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, unenforceable or void, then such provision will be null and void but each other provision hereof not so affected will be enforced to the full extent permitted by applicable law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.
WINNERS LIST: The list of winners is available by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to Albertson-Safeway, Attn: Civil War Series Sweepstakes /Jaime Clary, 16300 SE Evelyn Street, OR 97015, within 30 days after the Sweepstakes concludes.
