Four From OSU Baseball Honored Academically

SAN FRANCISCO – Four student-athletes from the Oregon State baseball team have been honored Thursday by the Pac-12 Conference with its 2015 academic awards.
Junior Andrew Moore has been named second team all-academic, while Caleb Hamilton, Logan Ice and Billy King have been named honorable mention.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
For Moore, it’s the second Pac-12 academic honor of his career following an honorable mention selection in 2014. A digital communications major, he was also named an Academic All-District 8 selection earlier this year. He was named a second-team All-American by Louisville Slugger last week, and was also selected as a Pac-12 first teamer.
Hamilton, Ice and King have earned their first academic honors in their first year of eligibility.
Hamilton is a pre-communications major, while Ice is majoring in sociology. King, who rounds out the three sophomores, is a political science major.
