Moore Named All-American By Perfect Game

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Andrew Moore is winning collegiate awards even after he’s made two appearances for the Everett AquaSox, Single-A affiliate for the Seattle Mariners.
Moore, who was selected in the second round by the Mariners in the MLB Draft earlier this month, was named a third-team All-American by Perfect Game USA. That gives him five All-America honors this year.
For good reason, too. The junior racked up a 7-2 record and 1.91 earned run average. He struck out 111 in 122 1/3 innings en route to being named a Pac-12 First Team selection for the second time in his career. He was also recognized academically as an All-District 8 selection after majoring in digital communications.
Moore has also been named an All-American by Baseball America, D1Baseball.com, the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger.
The Eugene native has made two appearances for Everett, with one start. He is 0-0 with a 1.80 ERA in five innings, scattering three hits and a run with eight strikeouts to no walks. His first allowed hit, Saturday against Boise, came off the bat of former OSU infielder Joey Wong.
