KJ Harrison Named To Final USA Roster

CARY, N.C. – Infielder KJ Harrison has been named to the final 26-man roster for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team, it was announced on Tuesday.
Team USA, which has played 10 games to this point, will start a five-game series with Cuba Wednesday, followed by two exhibition games against Canada and the U.S. Pan Am team. A complete schedule of USA’s remaining games is below.
Harrison has played in all 10 games, going 9-for-36 (.250) with two doubles and five runs batted in. He has played both first base and at catcher, where he has successfully thrown out 3-of-4 baserunners attempting to steal.
Harrison was joined by fellow freshman Drew Rasmussen on the initial roster. Rasmussen appeared in three games, making one start, and was 0-1 with a 4.26 earned run average in 6 1/3 innings. He struck out seven to just one walk during his tenure with the club.
Harrison is one of four players from the Pac-12 Conference to make the final roster.
