Conforto Named To Futures Game Roster

CORVALLS, Ore. – Former Oregon State outfielder Michael Conforto, who is at Double-A in the New York Mets organization, has been selected to play for the U.S. team at the Futures Game.
The Futures Game will pit the sports’ top players from both the USA and Internationally in an exhibition game prior to the All-Star Game. The game, held in Cincinnati, will be held July 12 at noon PT. Fans can watch the game live on the MLB Network and MLB.com as well as listen on MLB Network Radio on both Sirius and XM.
Conforto has played at two levels this year, opening the season with Single-A St. Lucie of the Florida State League before being promoted to Double-A Binghamton. He has combined to play 68 games this season and is batting .302 with 20 doubles, nine home runs and 41 runs batted in.
He’s actually gotten stronger at the plate with the move up a level. In 22 games at Double-A, he is batting .346 with eight doubles, two triples, two home runs and 13 RBI.
