Moore Honored By D1, Baseball America

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Andrew Moore can add a pair of honors to his already crowded 2015 awards mantle.
The junior right-hander, fresh off a second-round selection in the MLB Draft by Seattle, was named a third-team All-American by both D1Baseball.com and Baseball America on Thursday. It’s his third All-America honor of the year after being named a second-team selection by Louisville Slugger a couple weeks ago.
He went 7-2 this season and tallied a 1.91 earned run average. His .200 batting average against was the lowest mark in the Pac-12 Conference, and he struck out 111 batters in more than 122 innings of work. Thirteen of his 16 starts qualified as quality starts.
Moore was named to the Pac-12 First Team for the second time in his career. He was a three-time Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week in 2015 – giving him four for his career. He was also named a First-Team All-West Region honoree on Wednesday, and is eligible for the American Baseball Coaches Association’s (ABCA) All-America team and Gold Glove squad, which will both be announced this weekend.
Academically, his 3.32 grade point average in digital communications also earned him Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team honors. Prior to that, he was named to the Academic All-District 8 First Team.
