Last Game
Joe Gillette drove in two via a triple but the Beavers were unable to muster much more offense in a 7-3 loss to California in the regular season finale for both clubs on Sunday. Christian Donahue tallied two hits and Billy King drove in OSU’s third run on a groundout.

Oregon State In The Postseason
Oregon State is making its 16th trip to the NCAA postseason, and seventh consecutive, and is one of just 11 teams nationally with that distinction (and only one in the Pac-12). The Beavers have now been to the postseason in 10 of the last 11 years. OSU is 29-19 (.604) in NCAA Regional games, including a 14-17 (.452) mark away from home. Since the current regional format was enacted, the Beavers are 9-7 away from Goss Stadium.
Beavers Under Casey
Head coach Pat Casey is taking the Beavers to their 10th regional in his 21 seasons in Corvallis. He owns 45 of the Beavers’ 50 all-time postseason victories, and 24 of the team’s 29 regional wins.
Against Texas
Oregon State and Texas are meeting for just the second time. The first came at the 1952 College World Series, with the Longhorns winning, 10-1. Per the Eckert family, pitcher Travis Eckert’s grandfather, also named Travis, drove in two runs for Texas in that game.
Clearing May
The Beavers come into the postseason playing some of their best baseball of the year. OSU is 10-3-1 in the month of May. OSU is batting .280 in the month to a .215 clip for opponents. Most notably, the OSU staff has an ERA of 1.89.
On The Hill
OSU’s 2.88 team ERA ranks 11th in the nation. The Beavers have also allowed just 7.11 hits per nine innings, which ranks third in the country. Lastly, the team’s WHIP of 1.13 is sixth.
Singles
• Oregon State is 3-1 against the Big 12 this season, defeating Kansas, Kansas State and Oklahoma State and losing to Oklahoma. All-time, OSU is 19-19 against current members of the Big 12.
• OSU is 10-5 all-time in NCAA Regional openers, and 9-0 under head coach Pat Casey.
• OSU is 9-4 in one-run games this season.
