Baseball Headed To Dallas

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State baseball team will be making its school-record seventh consecutive postseason appearance as the Beavers have been selected to participate in the Dallas Regional.
The entire 64-team field was announced Monday morning, and the Beavers will be playing in a regional hosted by Dallas Baptist. OSU is the No. 2 seed, followed by No. 3 Texas and No. 4 VCU. Third-seed Texas will be Oregon State’s postseason opening foe when the tournament starts Friday.
The postseason appearance is the team’s 10th in its last 11 seasons, all under head coach Pat Casey. All-time, the Beavers will be making their 16th NCAA postseason appearance.
The Beavers are making their seventh consecutive postseason appearance after finishing the regular season 38-16-1. OSU finished second in the Pac-12 with a 19-10-1 record, coming to within just 2 ½ games of league champion UCLA despite starting one of the nation’s youngest lineups. The Beavers regularly started eight or nine underclassmen.
Game times and television and radio information will be made soon – make sure to follow Twitter.com/beaver_baseball for updated info and visit osubeavers.com. The regional opens Friday.
