Play Halted Again At NCAA Championships

BRADENTON, Fla. – For the third straight day, play was suspended at the NCAA Division I Women‘s National Golf Championships, this time for darkness, but Anica Yoo was able to finish her third round and now must wait to see if she advances to a fourth and final round for the individual title.
Yoo shot a 4-over 76 at the par-72, 6,468-yard Concession Golf Club on Sunday and is currently tied for 46th place with a 14-over 74-80-76--230.
Emma Talley of Alabama holds the clubhouse lead with an even-par 70-73-73--216
The NCAA National Championships consists of three days of stroke play Friday through Sunday, after which the top 15 teams and nine individuals not on an advancing team will be determined. That is followed by a final day of 18 holes of stroke play on Monday to determine the top eight teams that will advance to match play as well as the 72-hole individual champion.
Eighteen of the 24 teams completed play before tournament action in the third round was suspended. The suspended third round will resume Monday at 7:30 a.m. ET (4:30 a.m. PT). Playoffs, if necessary to determine the top 15 teams and nine individuals not on an advancing team, will take place immediately after confirmation of scores.
Round four of the championship, and the final round of stroke play, will begin at 10:50 a.m. ET (7:50 a.m. PT) on Monday.
Oregon State head coach Sammie Chergo said “Anica is right on the bubble.”
