Marshall Named to US Collegiate National Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After being named Pac-12 and Regional Freshman of the year, Third-Team All-American, and helping her team make the first Sweet 16 appearance in program history, Mary-Kate Marshall has earned another honor, being named to the 12-player roster for the U.S. Collegiate National Team (CNT – China) that will tour China during the summer.
Marshall will train with her team and then make the trip to China. They will compete in six matches from June 13-26, including a match against the Chinese Women’s U-23 National Team in Beijing.
“It is an honor for our team and for the OSU Athletic Department for Mary-Kate to make the USA Collegiate Team that is competing in China this summer,” said head coach Terry Liskevych. “Her experience playing against top competition in China and the everyday practices with other Collegiate All-Americans will help her for this upcoming season.”
Marshall is one of two representatives from the Pac-12 on the team, with opposite side hitter Brittany Abercrombie from USC being the second. There are also players from the Big Ten, SEC, ACC, Big-12 and the West Coast Conference.
Arizona State head coach Jason Watson will lead the program as the head coach. The full roster can be found here.
Marshall and the Beaver volleyball team will be playing in multiple spring events in the upcoming month. They will compete in a tournament hosted by Portland State Saturday, April 11, playing five games in the day. The Beavers will host a Sand volleyball competition against the University of Oregon Tuesday, April 21 in addition to indoor matches against Oregon Monday, May 4 in Eugene and Thursday, May 14 in Gill Coliseum.
