Last Game
Elliott Cary hit a two-run home run but the Beavers were unable to hold on to a 5-2 lead in a 10-5 loss to UCLA Saturday in the series finale in Los Angeles.
Civil War
Oregon State and Oregon meet up for the 31st time since the Ducks re-instated their program prior to the 2009 season. The Beavers are 20-10 against UO since then, and are 7-8 in games played away from Goss Stadium. OSU took the 2013 conference series from the Ducks in Eugene, 2-1, and split a pair of midweek non-conference games in 2014.
Hello Mr. Moore
Friday’s probable starter for the Beavers, Andrew Moore, hails from Eugene and is coming off his third win of the season to lower his earned run average to 1.63. Moore is 2-0 with a 1.06 ERA in two starts lifetime against the Ducks. In addition, he is 8-2 with a 2.14 ERA in 88 1/3 innings in road appearances during his career.

Thanks to research by Mississippi State, the Beavers’ 208 double plays since 2012 are good for a tie with Washington State for seventh- most in the nation. OSU has 30 double plays this year, tied for second in the Pac-12, only four behind Arizona. The Beavers are 28th in the country and are averaging just shy of one double play per game.
