Other Side Talent Show April 14
The 12th Annual The Other Side Talent Show and Silent Auction will be held Tuesday, April 14 at the LaSells Stewart Center across from Reser Stadium. The Talent Show begins at 7 p.m. with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m. as does the Silent Auction. Suggested donations of $5 for the general public and $2 for OSU students will be accepted at the door with proceeds benefitting the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the OSU Emergency Food Pantry.
This event features the hidden talents (song & dance) of current and former student-athletes, and OSU Athletics staff as a way of honoring two men’s soccer players who passed away unexpectedly in 2002 – Stephen Hensor and Joe Zaher. The Talent Show was launched by former women’s soccer standout and SAAC President Courtney Carter to honor these young men.
Headlining this year’s event is country/rock recording artist Kurt Van Meter, local singer Julie Williams and all 17 of OSU’s intercollegiate programs. Director of Athletics Bob De Carolis will also perform with his “band” of athletics staff. Watch the video recap of last year’s event.
