QUOTING INTERIM HEAD COACH GABE WINKLER: “I’m really happy with our guys right now. They’ve been working hard and we are moving up the rankings. This weekend is a good opportunity to race someone in the top 10. This is the last race for the V8 before Pac-12 Championships, so it’s the last time to make an impression. We’d really like that to be a good impression.”
QUOTING ASSISTANT COACH DAMEON ENGBLOM: “I’m pleased with the way our young guys are coming along and helping the team. Last week we moved one freshman into the V8 and two into the JV and both boats plus the 3V8 are stronger now. And we’ve got three walkons in the JV and 3V8. These guys have come a long way since September.”
