Moore On Watch List For Top Pitcher

LUBBOCK, Texas – The College Baseball Hall of Fame announced its second watch list on Thursday afternoon and this one has Andrew Moore’s name written all over it.
Moore is one of 46 pitchers on the initial watch list for the National Pitcher of the Year award. He’s one of four from the Pac-12 Conference.
The Eugene native is 4-1 this season and sports a 1.40 earned run average as the Beavers prepare for a three-game series with USC. He’s sixth in the nation with a 0.81 WHIP and opponents are batting a league-low .186 against him.
In Pac-12 play the junior has been even better. He sports a 0.68 ERA, .173 batting average against and a 0.78 WHIP in 40 innings.
The award will be presented June 29 at the College Baseball Hall of Fame’s Night of Champions in Lubbock.
Oregon State returns to action Friday when opening a three-game series against USC at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. The teams play at 5:35 p.m. Friday, 1:35 p.m. on Saturday and 1:05 p.m. Sunday.
