The Beavers returned in 2013 to nip Portland, 4-3, in front of 3,294. The teams squared off again last season, with OSU winning 8-4 before 4,226 fans.

Last Neutral-Site Game
Tuesday’s matchup will mark the ninth and final neutral-site contest for the Beavers in the regular season. OSU is 5-3 in neutral-site games, with the first eight taking place at Surprise Stadium in Arizona. The Beavers batted .305 there, while the OSU staff posted a 4.75 earned run average in 72 innings.
End Of Stretch On The Road
Tuesday’s game marks the last of seven straight away from Goss Stadium for the Beavers, which is the team’s longest away since opening the year with eight straight in Arizona. The Beavers have gone 2-4 over the six games, going 1-2 at both UCLA and Oregon.
Singles
• Kyle Nobach comes into Tuesday’s game with a team-leading five-game hit streak. He is 7-for-20 during it, with four runs and six RBI.
• Trever Morrison batted in the leadoff spot for the time this season on Sunday. Jeff Hendrix, who had been at the leadoff spot, batted cleanup for the first time in his career.
• Head coach Pat Casey is looking for his 60th all-time win against Portland. That victory would tie Washington State (60-31) for the most victories by Casey against any one team.
