Hiza Named to AVCA Thirty Under 30 List

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Oregon State Assistant Coach Emily Hiza has been named to the Thirty Under 30 list announced the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Wednesday.
"Emily has been invaluable to our success and is an outstanding coach in both technique and tactic in all facets of the game," said Oregon State head coach Taras Liskevych. "She has done a superb job as our recruiting coordinator. The sky is the limit for her - - she will be a great head coach in the future."
Hiza helped coach the Beavers to the most successful season for the team in the NCAA era, winning 21 games and making the Sweet 16.
This is the seventh year that the awards have been given out, with the purpose of honoring up-and-coming coaches at all levels of volleyball. Of the thirty recipients, 11 are NCAA Division I coaches, four in Division II, four are NCAA Division III, three are in high school, the NAIA and Two Year College and two are club coaches.
