Beavs To Face Buffs In Pac-12 Tourney

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men’s basketball team will be the No. 7 seed and face No. 10-seed Colorado in the opening round of the Pac-12 Tournament at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
The Beavers (17-13, 8-10 Pac-12) will play the Buffaloes (14-16, 7-11) at 6:10 p.m. on Wednesday in a game televised on the Pac-12 Networks. The winner will play No. 2-seed Oregon (23-8, 13-5) at 6:10 p.m. on Thursday in the quarterfinals.

Oregon State defeated Colorado in the only meeting between the two teams this season, 72-58, on Feb. 21 at Gill Coliseum. The Beavers dominated the first half, leading 34-12 at the break, and held on for the win behind 24 points and a single-game school record seven blocked shots by Gary Payton II. Malcolm Duvivier added 17 points and five assists, and Daniel Gomis chipped in 10 points and four blocked shots. Oregon State set a single-game team school record with 13 blocked shots in the win.
