The First Quarter is Complete

Every football fan knows there are four quarters in a game. Beaver head football coach Gary Andersen takes it one step further with four quarters in a student-athletes’ year.
The Beavers are currently in the second quarter, which in the Andersen era means spring football. The third quarter is summer conditioning and the fourth quarter is the actual season. The OSU video team got the inside look of the initial first quarter in the Andersen era – winter conditioning.
The Beavers return to the practice field Thursday and welcome Beaver Nation to watch the drills Saturday from Reser Stadium at 11:30 a.m.
The response has been strong to the Coach Andersen hire as season ticket sales are pacing at a record rate for this time of the year as the excitement continues to build for the new era of Beaver football. The season officially kicks off Friday, Sept. 4 at Reser Stadium vs. Weber State in a nationally televised game.
