Duvivier Earns Pac-12 All-Academic Honors

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Oregon State men’s basketball student-athlete Malcolm Duvivier received Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention recognition, Commissioner Larry Scott announced Friday.
Duvivier, a sophomore from Toronto, Canada, has a 3.07 GPA in Business. He played in all 31 games this past season and averaged 10.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 34.8 minutes. The 6-foot-2 guard led the Beavers in scoring in four of the last six games, while averaging a team-best 15.0 points and shooting 40.7 percent (11-for-27) from beyond the arc.
To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor. The Pac-12 All Academic regulations define a “starter or significant substitute” as having participated in 50 percent of a team’s scheduled contests, except in unusual circumstances, such as injury.
Oregon State men’s basketball players have now earned conference All-Academic honors 25 times. It’s the 12th consecutive year a Beavers’ student-athlete has received Pac-12 Men’s Basketball All-Academic recognition.
