Harrison Takes 7th in 1,650, Tabbed All-American

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Junior swimmer Sammy Harrison capped her strong showing at the NCAA Championships Saturday, finishing seventh in the 1,650 Freestyle with a time of 15:56.01.
Harrison took the first place finish in her heat Saturday, leading nearly the entire race, including at the 500 and the 1,000 marks. With the finish, Harrison earned All-American status.
This is the third year that Harrison has competed in the 1,650 Freestyle at the NCAA Championships, earning All-American honors, in back-to-back years now after finishing 10th in the event at the 2014 Championships in Minneapolis and earning All-American Honorable Mention. Harrison is just the fifth two-time All-American in OSU swimming history and the first since 2008-09.
