Gardiner Named Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Oregon State sophomore Madeline Gardiner was named the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week for March 9-15 when weekly honors were announced by the Pac-12 Conference office Monday.
Gardiner, a native of Cambridge, Ontario, earned two individual titles in Saturday’s quad meet win over San Jose State, Lindenwood and Seattle Pacific. Gardiner tied her career-high with a 39.450 in the all-around and added an event title on the balance beam with a 9.850. In addition, Gardiner added an impressive score of 9.925 on the floor exercise to tie for third.
This is Gardiner’s first Gymnast of the Week honor and Oregon State’s 25th all-time.
The Beavers, ranked No. 12 this week, travel to Pac-12 Championships at Utah this week. OSU will compete in the second session at 6 p.m. PT on Saturday. Both sessions will air live on Pac-12 Networks.
