Mannion Throws Darts at Pro Day

Oregon State held its annual Pro Day at the Sports Performance Center and Truax Indoor Center Friday. All 32 NFL teams and the CFL were represented by scouts as they took one last look at Beaver professional hopefuls before the NFL Draft next month.
Pac-12 record-setting quarterback Sean Mannion proved once again that his accuracy is unmatched. Quarterback coach and former NFL player Jordan Palmer worked Mannion for a plethora of scouts who saw the four-year letterman throw tight spirals.
Cornerback Steven Nelson also put on an impressive display as did many of the other Beavers in attendance that included Tyler Anderson, John Braun, Bud Delva, Obum Gwacham, Jabral Johnson, Keith Kostol, Michael Marable, Iona Pritchard, Ryan Murphy, D.J. Alexander, Jacob Wark, Terron Ward, Dylan Wynn and Tyrequek Zimmerman.
The OSU video team had a chance to get close to the action and produced the uploaded video.
The Beavers return to the practice field for the final time Saturday before a two-week break. Fans are reminded that Saturday’s practice is open to the public if held at Reser Stadium. The 11:30 a.m. workout may be forced inside the Truax Center due to weather conditions which will make the practice closed due to space limitations.
OSU football is inviting any 3rd-8th grade boys and girls to the annual Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis Youth Football Mini-Camp this Saturday from 3-5 p.m. at the Merritt-Truax Indoor Facility on the OSU campus. To register or for more information please go to bgccorvallis.org/Athletics.
The response has been strong to the Coach Andersen hire as season ticket sales are pacing at a record rate for this time of the year as the excitement continues to build for the new era of Beaver football. The season officially kicks off Friday, Sept. 4 at Reser Stadium vs. Weber State in a nationally televised game.
