Kamaron Yancy Joins Staff

Oregon State head football coach Gary Andersen announced Thursday that Kamaron Yancy has been named a graduate assistant coach for defense.
Yancy arrives at Oregon State from the University of Utah where he has served as a quality control coach for the past three seasons. He replaces Cory Hall, who has accepted a football position at another university.
The Los Angeles native was a two-year letterman defensive back (2009-10), playing for then Utah and now current OSU defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake, appearing in 14 games. Yancy transferred to Utah from Pierce Junior College in Los Angeles, where he was an all-conference honoree.
Yancy played high school football at Fairfax in Los Angeles, earning all-league honors at cornerback.
The Beavers return to the practice field for the final time Saturday before a two-week break. Fans are reminded that Saturday’s practice is open to the public, starting at 11:30 a.m., with the team holding its first of three scrimmages at Reser Stadium.
OSU football is inviting any 3rd-8th grade boys and girls to the annual Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis Youth Football Mini-Camp Sat., March 14 from 3-5 p.m. at the Merritt-Truax Indoor Facility on the OSU campus. To register or for more information please go to bgccorvallis.org/Athletics.
