Harrison and Isleta Lead Beavers in Day 3 Action

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The Oregon State swimming team competed in the 100 Yard Butterfly, 200 Yard Freestyle, 100 Yard Breaststroke, 100 Yard Backstroke and the 400 Yard Medley Relay during the third day of the Pac-12 Championships in Washington Friday.
Sammy Harrison and Czsarina Isleta each had impressive performances, in the 200 Yard Freestyle and the breaststroke respectively. Harrison finished the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:46.74, a lifetime best and the second fastest time in school history. Isleta set a lifetime best in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:03.71 in the preliminaries and finished 22nd in the finals later in the day.
Andrea Young lead the Beavers in the 100 Butterfly with a personal record of 56.11. Brooke Meyer set a season record with a time of 56.28 while Constance Toulemonde, Jesikah Cavanaugh and Abby Maricle all finished right behind Meyer, with times of 57.27, 57.44 and 57.65 respectively.
Chelsea Chan had a time of 1:04.44 in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, a new personal best. Alice Ochs also had a lifetime best, stopping the clock at 1:05.04.
Sophie MacEwan, Amani Amr, Claire McLaggan and Tair Maimon all finished within two seconds of each other. MacEwan had a time of 57.24, with Amr coming in at 57.55. McLaggan stopped the clock at 58.62 followed closely by Maimon at 58.89.
The Beavers will continue action in the Pac-12 Championships Saturday. Official Results will be posted here at the end of the day.
