Conforto Named Golden Spikes Semifinalist

DURHAM N.C.. – Michael Conforto is one of 21 players from across the nation named Tuesday as a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award, USA Baseball announced.
Conforto is one of two players from the Pac-12 Conference named to the semifinalist list, which will be pared down to a list of finalists on June 3. And he’s on the list for good reason as he enters the Corvallis Regional with a .364 batting average, seven home runs and 55 runs batted in. He’s amongst the nation’s leaders with a .518 on-base percentage, due in large part to his school-record 50 walks this season.
He ended Pac-12 play with a .336 batting average, six home runs and 24 RBI.
Oregon State opens play at the Corvallis Regional Friday at 8 p.m. PT versus North Dakota State. The Beavers and Bison can be seen live on ESPNU.
All-session tickets will be made available to the general public beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday (online only until 9 a.m.). Infield reserved tickets are $100 while outfield general admission seats are $75 and student outfield seats cost $56. All-session tickets guarantee the holder to all six games of the regional, and a seventh if necessary game.
Single-game tickets will be made available on each day – pending availability - and cost $20 for infield reserved seats, $15 for outfield general admission and $12 for student outfield seats. The ticket office at Goss Stadium will open at 10 a.m. on the first day of the regional and two hours prior to the first game’s first pitch each subsequent day.
Current season-ticket holders have until 5 p.m. Tuesday to request tickets prior to them going on sale to the general public. Our Beaver Nation members without season tickets may also request tickets until that time.
Fans can purchase the all-session tickets Wednesday by calling 1-800-GOBEAVS, going online at BeaverTickets.com or in person at Gill Coliseum, which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday.
Fans who attend the regional should note that the parking lot beyond the left field fence will be closed to the public each day, and other parking lots near Goss Stadium will require a fee. A parking map will be made available on the Corvallis Regional Tournament page.
