No. 14 Men's Rowing Ready for Pac-12 Championships

Corvallis, Ore. – The No. 14 Oregon State men’s rowing team begins post-season competition at the Pac-12 Rowing Championships on Sunday in Gold River, Calif.
Top-three finishers at the Pac-12 Championships get an automatic berth to the IRA National Championships in Mercer Lake, NJ on May 30 and June 1. After all automatic bids have been determined, the selection committee meets to choose the At-Large selections to round out the 24-team field.
The Beavers finished fourth at last year’s Pac-12 Championships and earned an At-Large bid to the National Championships, where the Varsity 8 placed 17th and the Varsity 4 placed sixth.
This year, the Beavs will be facing highly-ranked Pac-12 opponents, including No. 1 Washington, No. 2 California, No. 12 Stanford, as well as Colorado and Washington State. Oregon State is the fourth seed heading into the Championships, following Washington, Cal, and Stanford.
The first race of the 2014 Pac-12 Rowing Championships is set to begin Sunday at 9 a.m. PT.
