Inside Practice - Through the Eyes of Sean Mannion

Everybody is an armchair quarterback on Saturdays and Sundays; the OSU video team shows you what it’s really like out on the field as quarterback and preseason All-America candidate Sean Mannion gives you an inside look from spring practice at the Merritt Truax Indoor Center.
While Mannion is the consistent, steady part of the offense this spring, there is a decidedly different look on that side of the ball with John Garrett taking over for Danny Langsdorf as the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach. In addition, record setting wide receiver Brandin Cooks is sitting on the sidelines watching and waiting for next month’s NFL Draft.
Garrett talked in length Monday how Mannion could have passed for 6,000 yards last season, as it was the total was 4,662 – the most ever in the Pac-12 Conference. He already is 10th for career passing yards in the league with 10,436 and is zeroed in on catching the league’s all-time leader Matt Barkley of USC.
Today is the second of 15 spring practice videos; Friday we go in depth with the defense and senior linebacker Michael Doctor.
